Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement - Horatiu & Carly

asheville wedding photographer

We spent the evening exploring the mountains talking about all things life, travels, and their relationship - soaking in the glow of the evening sun. I don’t get to do as many engagement sessions as many of my couples are from out of state, and this session reminded me why I love it so. A chance for all of us to slow down and connect - capturing really beautiful imagery they get to always remember this time in their lives. I’m really excited for their wedding in June! xo

Wilmington Engagement - Charles & Emily

I was greeted at the door by pouring rain and sweet Ella, we left for the beach to try and escape the rain. Little did we know we would be the only people on the beach, huddling in tight under an umbrella waiting for the clouds to pass while the rain came down in sheets around us. When it didn’t pass, we escaped towards the car and headed to the north beach. While walking around I turned around and gasped, I had never seen a complete rainbow before. They took me back to their house to snuggle their sweet pup and capture some sweet moments in the backyard. We spent the time talking about all the time and moments that lead them up to now - they’ll be officially husband and wife around this time tomorrow. I had such a lovely time spending time with Charles & Emily, they have such a beautiful connection. Can’t wait for tomorrow!

Inn At Willow Grove Wedding - Carly & Tom

Oh where to begin. I knew from our very first emails that we were going to have a blast on their wedding day at the Inn at Willow Grove. Carly and Tom are two of the most friendly people you’ll ever meet, and they make you feel comfortable within seconds of being in their presence. There was a perfect amount of laughter and happy tears throughout the entire day. The chemistry and admiration these two share is matchless. I started following Carly on instagram shortly after we exchanged emails, and it’s always such a joy to see how they continue to date and pursue one another. One of my favorites from awhile back, they had purchased a hammock but it was raining outside, so when Carly came home from work Tom had set it up in the living room for a relaxing date night surprise. How sweet is that! Their personal style was reflected throughout all the decor and their stunning attire. Just wait till you see Carly’s dress from Rue De Seine! The ONLY thing missing from the day was their adorable French Bulldog, but I guess I’ll let it slide. So much love to you both. Enjoy their day, it was perfectly sweet and seamless.
